Liberty Media Corporation Completes Acquisition Of $500 Million In News
Corporation Preferred ADRs

NEW YORK, NY, October 15, 2003 - News Corporation today announced the closing of
the purchase by Liberty Media Corporation of $500 million in News Corp.
preferred limited voting ordinary ADRs, at $21.50 per ADR, pursuant to a right
that Liberty acquired in March 2003.

assets as of June 30, 2003 of approximately US$45 billion and total annual
