The Mississippi Wireless Communication Commission (WCC) launched
a new online service that provides users a resource for making
secure invoice payments. Through the application customers of the
Commission can now pay invoices, received from the communications
agency, quickly and conveniently by accessing the WCC Online
Invoice Payments service.
“The Commission is pleased to offer our customers a new and
efficient way of doing business with us,” said Vicki Helfrich,
Executive Officer of the Wireless Communication Commission. “Our
clients are in the business of public safety and time is vitally
important to them. This secure payment service will enable them to
quickly access their invoices from any location, on any device and
pay electronically within minutes.”
Established in 1972 by the Mississippi State Legislature, the
Mississippi Wireless Communication Commission (WCC) was created to
ensure critical personnel have effective communications services
available in emergency situations. The enabling legislation
specifically directs the Commission to implement a statewide
wireless communications system for state and local governments that
enables interoperability between various wireless communications
technologies.
The recently launched invoice payment system was developed at no
cost to the Wireless Communication Commission by the state’s
eGovernment partner, Mississippi Interactive. The service features
streamlined user-friendly navigation, mobile access for smartphones
and tablets, and a secure online payment solution that can
typically be completed in less than 5 minutes. For more information
