Gyrus Group plc ("the Company")

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for admission to the Official List of 89,552 new ordinary shares of
1p each, following the acquisition of SkyMed Limited.

The shares rank pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary shares
in issue

It is expected that admission will become effective in the new ordinary shares
on 17 October 2000.
