The Romanian Leu jumped up further against the US dollar in New York trading on Thursday. At present, the leu is trading near a 4-week high of 2.8507 versus the greenback, compared to 2.8749 hit late New York Wednesday. The Romanian currency has been in an upward channel against the greenback for the past 17 days.
