LONDON--Anglo-Dutch consumer goods firm Unilever PLC (ULVR),
which houses the Dove, PG tips and Flora brands among its
portfolio, said Friday its Audit Committee will invite leading
accountancy firms to tender for its statutory audit contract.
MAIN FACTS:
-PricewaterhouseCoopers' appointment will expire upon completion
of their audit of the accounts for the year ending Dec. 31,
2013.
-Unilever intends to conduct the tender process as quickly as
possible, so that a decision can be made in time for the 2014
Annual General Meetings.
-Shares in London at 0805 GMT down 12 pence, or 0.45%, at 2664
pence valuing the company at 34.35 billion pounds.
