Corporation (NYSE: PCX) today announced that it again received a
prestigious Mountaineer Guardian Safety Award.
The Rivers Edge metallurgical mine in the Wells complex was
presented the Mountaineer Guardian Safety Award by the West
Virginia Coal Association for the second consecutive year.
Mountaineer Guardian Safety Awards are presented each year to
mining operations that have demonstrated a commitment to
operational safety. Inspectors for the West Virginia Office
of Miners' Health, Safety & Training nominate facilities based
on numerous safety-related criteria, including below average injury
incidence rates and an effective, comprehensive safety program.
