Molex Incorporated (NASDAQ:MOLX)(NASDAQ:MOLXA) was one of 99
suppliers honored by General Motors with its highly coveted
Supplier of the Year award. The award recognizes the significant
contributions of GM's suppliers in 2008 as part of the company's
global product and performance achievements. The announcement was
made during the 17th annual awards presentation held at the GM
Heritage Center in Warren, Michigan on Friday, June 5.
Molex, the only connector supplier to be recognized, provides GM
with the interconnection solutions that help its in-vehicle
electrical architecture perform in harsh automotive environments.
Tom Favazza, global account manager, Molex Automotive said, “It is
a privilege to receive this distinction from GM, one of our most
valued customers. The award underscores our commitment to
developing innovative products and providing superior customer
service.”
The Supplier of the Year program started in 1992, and each year
a global team of purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing
and logistics executives determines the winners. The decisions are
based on supplier performance in the areas of quality, service,
technology and price.
