--Meta Platforms Inc. will start letting more users create multiple profiles with their Facebook accounts, Bloomberg reported.

--Certain Facebook members will be able to create as many as four additional profiles as part of a test, and each one won't need to include a person's real name or identity, the report said. Users could have different profiles, such as one for friends and another for co-workers, each with its own newsfeed, but they will only be able to comment or like another post with one profile, the report said.

--Additional profiles are still bound by Facebook's content policies and will tie back to a user's core account, meaning rule violations on one profile will affect the others, the company said, according to the Bloomberg report. Facebook hopes users will create separate identities for their different interests, the report said.

--The test won't change how the social media company calculates its monthly or daily active user totals, the report said.
