            Interim Dividend Payment and announcement of results

The Board of Bristol Water plc ("Bristol Water") has today declared a fourth
interim dividend of #3.5m.  This will be  paid to its immediate parent company
on or before 30 June 2006.

Following the announcement by Sociedad General de Aguas de Barcelona, S.A.
("Agbar") regarding the recommended cash  offer for Bristol Water Group plc
("Bristol Water Group"), the Company's ultimate parent company, being declared
unconditional, the Board now plans to announce the Bristol Water preliminary
results for the year ended 31 March 2006 on 13 July 2006.
