Africa Opportunity Fund Limited (the "Company")

Proposed cancellation of admission to trading on AIM of the Ordinary Shares

As previously announced, the Company is proposing to raise up to US$100 million by way of a placing of C shares of US$0.10 each ("C Shares") at a placing price of US$1.00 per C Share (the "Placing") in conjunction with the admission to trading of the ordinary shares of US$0.01 each ("Ordinary Shares") being moved from AIM to the Specialist Fund Market of the London Stock Exchange ("Admission").

It was previously anticipated that the cancellation of the admission of the Ordinary Shares to trading on AIM would take effect no earlier than 17 March 2014 and no later than 31 March 2014. It is now anticipated that the cancellation of the admission of the Ordinary Shares to trading on AIM will take effect no earlier than 7 April 2014 and no later than 30 April 2014.
