EASYJET ANNOUNCES MAJOR NEW BASE AT BERLIN SCHONEFELD
6 aircraft operating on 11 routes
Seats on sale now for Summer 2004

Ray Webster, easyJet Chief Executive, today announced a long-term deal with
Berlin Schonefeld Airport to make it the airline's latest European base.

easyJet will initially operate 11 routes out of Berlin Schonefeld to six
countries with services starting from May 2004. Six aircraft will operate in
the German capital - either permanently based in Berlin or drawing from other
bases - creating some 300-400 direct jobs.

Berlin, as the capital of Germany and one of its leading business centres,
represents a highly attractive inbound and origin market for easyJet with a
sizeable catchment. Berlin is also expected to be one of the main beneficiaries
as the European Union expands eastwards in 2004. Berlin Schonefeld Airport is
situated 20km from Berlin's centre.

The routes, all joining existing cities on the easyJet network, are London
Luton, Liverpool, Bristol and Newcastle in the UK, Paris and Nice in France,
Palma Majorca and Barcelona in Spain, Naples in Italy, Copenhagen in Denmark and
Athens in Greece.

One-way fares including all taxes and charges will start at Euro25, representing a
huge saving for customers compared to the high fares charged by the traditional
airlines. The first flight (Berlin - London Luton) will start on 1st May 2004
and all 11 routes will be launched by the end of June, representing a formidable
ramp-up of activity in only two months.

Ray Webster made the announcement accompanied by Tilo Braune, the State
Secretary Ministry of Transport, Dieter Johannsen-Roth, the CEO of Berlin
International Airports, Matthias Platzek, Prime Minister of Brandenburg, and
Klaus Wowereit, Governing Mayor of Berlin.

The deal was made as a direct result of the tender that easyJet instigated
earlier this year and further announcements relating to this tender will be made
in the future.

Ray Webster, Chief Executive of easyJet, said:

"This is a key step in the planned growth of easyJet and the fact that we can
start 11 new routes using six aircraft by opening up a single new airport
underlines why we put so much emphasis on network density and the
joining-the-dots element of our growth strategy.

"As the German economy returns to full strength and the European Union expands
eastwards in 2004, Berlin is likely to be one of the major cultural and business
growth markets of the future and easyJet will be well-positioned to take
advantage.

"The long-term deal we have negotiated will ensure that both Berlin and easyJet
can make the necessary investments in fast turnarounds and dedicated terminal
facilities to ensure the Berlin base will be a success without the need for
public subsidy.

"We know a great deal about the German market following our analysis of
Deutsche BA and Berlin Schonefeld's convenient location in this very important
city makes it an ideal base for easyJet's business model which targets both
business and leisure travellers."
