Universal Delivery Solutions (UDS) is the operating unit of
Delivery Technology Solutions Inc. (PINKSHEETS: DTSL), the leader
in delivery management technology is targeting what is believed to
be the highest concentration of catering buying power for its
888-SUB-TO-GO service in the December issue of Pharmaceutical
Representative magazine. The company has secured the inside back
cover full-page advertising space in the forty-year-old magazine
that specializes in content for reps, trainers and sales managers
at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. UDS is the operating
unit of Delivery Technology Solutions Inc. (PINKSHEETS: DTSL), the
leader in delivery management technology.
"When we saw the data about the readership made available to us
by the publication, it was impossible to ignore the fact that
sixty-one percent of its audience makes important buying decisions
regarding catering services, and that the titles of their
subscribers are who we want to influence," said UDS CEO Ryan
Coblin.
Pharmaceutical Representative is a monthly magazine serving the
information needs of pharmaceutical sales professionals. Primary
care representatives, specialty representatives, district managers,
sales managers and regional managers make up 86% of its readership.
A circulation of 30,000 representatives offers an additional 55,000
"pass-along" readers who share copies of each issue.
The practice of sales reps buying lunches for physicians and
office staff was spotlighted in a January 2009 revised Code of
Interactions with Healthcare Professionals issued by the trade
organization PhRMA, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers
of America. It called for those interacting with healthcare
professionals to provide only 'modest meals' on an 'occasional
basis' during an 'informational presentation' at the 'physician's
office.'
"There is no question that the revised PhRMA code has altered
the catering aspect of pharmaceutical sales and probably reduced it
in size," Mr. Coblin added, "but, we see our catering menu as
ideally aligned with the "modest meals" it calls for, and the eat
fresh message offers a healthier option to pizza, which is also
mentioned in the code."
As previously mentioned, 888-SUB-TO-GO™ has launched a
nationwide advertising campaign that will help brand, and market
the national catering and event management program. This
advertisement furthers the nationwide effort in building, and
branding the largest franchise network for 888-SUB-TO-GO™ catering.
There are additional marketing efforts planned for the near future
and the company will share these efforts with the investment
community in the coming weeks. The advertisement being distributed
in Pharmaceutical Representative magazine is the same as the one
launched last week in SalesForce XP magazine.
888-SUB-TO-GO is the brand name for SUBWAY® Corporate Catering
& Event Management, a one-number blended solution for large and
complex catering orders. Offering a dense national footprint of
certified catering franchisees, 888-SUB-TO-GO is able to serve
meals for almost any number of people at locations almost anywhere
in the country.
