The Company has today been informed, in accordance with Section 198 of the
Companies Act 1985 ('the Act'), that following the conversion of unit trusts to
investment companies with variable capital ('ICVCs') AMVESCAP PLC have ceased to
be interested, within the meaning of Sections 203 and 208 of the Act, in the
ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company. (Previous notification,
9,484,006 shares - 15.003%.)

In addition, following the conversion, the Invesco Perpetual High Income Fund no
longer has a notifiable interest. (Previous notification, 3,668,669 shares -
5.83%.)
