UPDATE ON ISSUED SHARE CAPITAL

Following an issue of shares resulting from a recent exercise of share options,
the issued share capital of Amlin plc is now 390,851,062 Ordinary Shares of 25p
each. Recently issued shares in respect of share options are included within
current block listings granted by the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange.
