General Counsel of Peoples Energy and Chair of Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Board, Theodore R. Tetzlaff, Joins Ungaretti & Harris CHICAGO, June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Peoples Energy (NYSE:PGL) and Ungaretti & Harris LLP today announced that Theodore R. Tetzlaff, General Counsel for Peoples Energy, will join Ungaretti & Harris as a partner, effective July 1, 2005. Mr. Tetzlaff will continue to serve as General Counsel of Peoples Energy, while focusing his outside practice on corporate governance and complex litigation matters. Additionally, Peoples Energy has established an internal Office of General Counsel, with a core group of seasoned attorneys. Ungaretti & Harris and a limited number of other law firms will assume responsibility for all other matters previously handled by McGuireWoods LLP. The MPEA's Board is jointly appointed by Mayor Richard M. Daley and Governor Rod R. Blagojevich. Mr. Tetzlaff has served as General Counsel for Peoples Energy since July of 2003. He was a partner at McGuireWoods from 2001 to 2005. Previously, Mr. Tetzlaff was a partner with Jenner & Block LLP for more than 20 years. He also served as General Counsel for Tenneco Inc. and directed that company's legal affairs from 1992 through 1999. Mr. Tetzlaff has served as Director of the Chicago Cultural Center Foundation Board since 1998. Additionally, he was Commissioner of the Public Building Commission of Chicago from 1990 until 2005 and a member of the Governing Board of Directors of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau from 1999 through 2003. He received his B.A. from Princeton University and his J.D. from Yale University. Also joining Mr. Tetzlaff at Ungaretti & Harris is Stephen H. Armstrong, former Assistant General Counsel for Peoples and most recently a partner at McGuireWoods. Mr. Armstrong joined the Firm as a partner in the Environmental Practice. Theodore T.
