Consulting firm Accenture PLC said Tuesday that it had agreed to acquire Cloud Sherpas, a cloud-computing consulting company that has provided services to companies such as Google Inc. and Salesforce.com Inc.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Accenture plans to fold Atlanta-based Cloud Sherpas into the newly created Accenture Cloud First Applications team.

Goldman Sachs served as Accenture's financial adviser on the deal.

Accenture has been acquisitive recently. In March, the company purchased Brazil-based Gapso, a logistics company. A month later, Accenture added consulting-services company Axia Ltd., based in Massachusetts.

In July, Accenture announced an agreement to acquire EnergyQuote JHA, a London-based energy-management company, as well as the cloud-consulting firm Solium, based in Madrid, and Hong Kong-based PacificLink Group. Also in July, Accenture moved to beef up its interactive division by buying Texas-based app developer Chaotic Moon Studios.
