             Acquisition of Medical Profiles, Inc

Medisys announces that it has agreed to acquire the assets  of
Medical Profiles, Inc. ("MPI"), a manufacturer and supplier of
precision  plastic  moulded medical products,  for  $2.75m  in
cash.

MPI,   headquartered  in  Livonia,  Michigan,  USA,   designs,
manufactures  and supplies specialist, high precision  plastic
components   for  use  in  medical  devices.   The   company's
principal  products are injection caps, a medical grade  self-
sealing  injection site, and 'Y' connectors which are used  as
an  angioplasty  accessory and in similar  applications  where
multiple arterial access is required.  MPI also carries out  a
variety   of  custom  manufacturing  and  assembly  work   for
healthcare companies across the US.  The company has a  strong
research  and  development function with  a  track  record  of
developing  and  designing new plastic  components  to  fulfil
specific   medical  needs.   MPI's  ability  to   design   and
manufacture to demanding technical specifications is  its  key
competitive advantage.

MPI  reported a pre tax loss of $54,500 in the year  ended  30
September  1999  and had net liabilities of $570,400  at  that
date.

David  Wong,  Chief Executive Officer of Medisys said:  "MPI's
specialist  plastic  moulding and product  development  skills
will  be  invaluable  to Futura Medical  as  it  acquires  and
develops additional medical safety products to complement  the
Futura  safety  syringe. Its capabilities  in  high  precision
moulding and assembly will provide the Group with the  ability
to  manufacture  low volume components in-house,  as  well  as
providing a proving ground for initial production runs of  new
products, as we seek to optimise product design prior to  high
volume, low cost OEM manufacture."
