Centrica plc announces that today it purchased (through Goldman Sachs International) 3,137,717 Centrica plc ordinary shares of 6 (14) /(81) pence each at a price of 103.0300 pence per share. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Such purchase was effected pursuant to the Company's buyback programme (details of which were as announced on 15 November 2022) and effected in accordance with the non-discretionary share repurchase agreement entered into with Goldman Sachs International, as announced on 15 November 2022.

Since 15 November 2022, Centrica has purchased 250,483,802 ordinary shares at a cost (excluding dealing and associated costs) of GBP249,985,806.74.

Following the above purchase, Centrica plc holds 238,976,671 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 5,668,869,467 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

In accordance with Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 (the Market Abuse Regulation) (as in force in the UK and as amended by the Market Abuse (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019), detailed information about the individual purchases made by Goldman Sachs International is set out below.

Completion of Share Buyback Programme

The Company announces that, following the purchase of these shares, the share buy-back programme announced on 15 November 2022 has completed. Since the commencement of the buy-back programme, the Company has repurchased 250,483,802 ordinary shares in aggregate at a volume weighted average price of 99.8012 pence per ordinary share for a total consideration (excluding dealing and associated costs) of approximately GBP249,985,806.74. As announced in the Company's Preliminary Results on 16 February 2023, it remains the Company's intention to repurchase a further GBP300m of its ordinary shares. Further details are expected to follow shortly.
