Extension of partnership between Alpha Bank and American Express

Today Alpha Bank and American Express announced a significant extension of their
highly successful partnership.


The extended relationship gives Alpha Bank access to American Express' array of
cutting edge new products and services, including a range of Consumer and
Commercial Card products, enabling Alpha Bank to be a leader in the Greek cards
industry.


Alpha Bank will use American Express' products and expertise to attract premium
customers by offering American Express Platinum and Centurion Cards.  Also, for
the commercial segment, Alpha Bank will offer the American Express Corporate
Card, the world's leading corporate expense management tool.


In addition, Alpha Bank's existing American Express Card products will be
further enhanced with access to American Express' extensive partnerships and
expertise in the customer loyalty arena, bringing further innovation to the
Greek market.
