ATLANTA, April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Risk Sciences Group® (RSG), a Crawford Company (NYSE: CRDA; CRDB), and leading provider of risk management information systems (RMIS), focused on all the elements that make up a successful risk management program during its recent Partners Conference.

"RSG offers solutions that help risk managers understand and make decisions about their entire program," said Managing Director Brenda Rarick. "While the conference included sessions related to our RMIS products, we presented a far wider range of risk management topics for our participants' consideration and discussion. This conference is an opportunity for us to learn from each other, and judging from the feedback, everyone was able to get a great deal out of the experience."

In keeping with the emphasis on a holistic approach to risk management, this year's conference, "Elements of Success," included sessions on models for data collection for international organizations, social media's role in risk management, and managing psycho-social and return-to-work issues. An open roundtable focused on predictive analytics and how risk managers can use data to make decisions for their programs and organizations.

The three tracks of labs, discussions and roundtables also offered classes on RSG's Dmitri Suite® of RMIS products, including developing actionable information from raw claim data, creating reports to help with claims management and configuring data displays to meet user specifications. All in all, the two-day conference featured 17 different topics. "With the large number of seminars, we were able to keep each session intimate and encourage participation," Rarick said.

In addition to the conference sessions, a product pavilion gave participants additional opportunities to peruse new products, practice skills and learn first-hand from RSG experts and clients. It also offered demos of KMC On Demand(SM), a leading provider of learning technologies and online education for insurance professionals that is part of Crawford Educational Services.

"The conference was an excellent opportunity to meet many RSG employees and other clients of the system. We left with a lot of good information and training," said Pat Crowe, director of risk management systems for Rollins and a conference attendee. "I was excited to hear of the added features that will be available in the new reporting package."

"The classes provided phenomenal insight for us as our department within Rollins moves to the Dmitri platform along with Cognos reporting," Denise Samie, systems coordinator for risk management, agreed. "I felt the conference was educationally insightful for us as we move ahead."

This year's conference, held at the Grand Hyatt in Tampa Bay, Fla., is the twenty-first such event organized by RSG to bring together its clients and experts for two-way learning and discussion about risk management and related topics.
