Regulatory News:
PSA Peugeot Citroën (Paris:UG):
On the 28th May, just ten months after its inauguration, DPCA’s
new Wuhan 3 plant in China produced its 100,000th car, a Peugeot
2008.
The facility currently makes three models, the new Citroën
C-Elysée and the Peugeot 301 and 2008, with a fourth scheduled to
start production in the near future. In June, it will reach its
potential output of 44 vehicles per hour in two shifts.
With more than 60,000 units invoiced in May, DPCA’s estimated
market share now exceeds 4.5%, a 0.6-point gain compared with May
2013. Year-to-date market share stands at 4.2% for the sale of more
than 285,000 units.
DPCA’s excellent May results were lifted by Dongfeng Citroën’s
out-performing the market (sales up 15%) and the very strong 47%
growth recorded by Dongfeng Peugeot.
As in previous months, DF Citroën’s performance was led by the
success of the new C-Elysée (7,700 units delivered) and the strong
sales of the C-Quatre (8,100 deliveries).
The entire DF Peugeot line-up reported gains, with the delivery
of 8,000 Peugeot 308 units, 6,100 Peugeot 3008 units, 6,000 Peugeot
301 units and already 3,500 Peugeot 2008 units following its launch
on the 7th April.
These results confirm DPCA's strong growth dynamic and indicate
that full-year sales will exceed the announced target of 650,000
units.
