Residents can avoid lines with new property tax
payment options
This year, it will be easier than ever for residents of Logan
County to pay their property taxes. The Tax Collector’s Office
announced today that it now accepts credit card payments online,
meaning residents can avoid lines at the Collector’s Office and pay
their taxes with just a few mouse clicks or taps on their
smartphone.
“I am proud to offer Logan county residents a full suite of
convenient tax payment options,” Logan County Tax Collector
Brittany Rogers said. “We are always looking for ways to make the
tax process easier for citizens, and introducing online, mobile,
phone, and in-person credit card payment options will make it as
simple as possible for residents to pay their taxes and avoid
delinquent fees.”
The Logan County Tax Collector partnered with the state’s
eGovernment service provider, Information Network of Arkansas
(INA), to develop the secure payment system using the latest
encryption technology to ensure privacy, security and data
integrity. Credit card transactions include a processing fee to
cover the cost of the system, which INA developed for the county
free of charge.
Logan County personal property and real estate taxes are due
October 15. Residents can pay online by going to
https://www.ark.org/propertytax/logan/index.php to look up their
Tax Payer number. The system will prompt residents through payment
screens and provide a confirmation and receipt page for their
records. Payments may also continue to be made in person at the
Collector’s Offices in Paris and Booneville, by phone, or by
mailing a check to the Logan County Tax Collector.
