Malcolm S. Karl, CAE, to Head EagleBank's Non-Profit Banking Group

BETHESDA, Md., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- EagleBank
(NASDAQ:EGBN) has hired Malcolm S. Karl, Certified Association
Executive (CAE) as Vice President to lead the bank's efforts in
building banking relationships with non-profit organizations and
providing expanded services to them through EagleBank's Non-Profit
Banking Group. This group is headquartered at the Bank's
Washington, D.C. Regional Office at 1425 K Street, N.W. (Logo:

Karl has a wealth of experience in working with non-profits, having
served the last 24 years as Senior Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer of the American Society of Association Executives
(ASAE)/The Center for Association Leadership until his retirement
in July 2005. During his tenure at ASAE, Mr. Karl oversaw the
increase of annual revenues from $5 million to $31 million. During
the same period, Mr. Karl developed the Finance and Business
Operations Section of the Association which grew to over 4,000
members. Prior to working for ASAE, Mr. Karl was an Associate
Director and Comptroller of the Federal Bar Association. Karl
received his B.S. in Accounting from Strayer University, in
