    Sheffield United the football, leisure and property company annouces today that on 20th May 2008 Scarborough (UK) Limited, a company
controlled by Kevin McCabe, Chairman of Sheffield United, purchased 1,300,000 ordinary shares in the Company at 10p a share. Prior to this
acquisition Scarborough (UK) Limited held 113,526,770 ordinary shares in Sheffield United.  

    Following this purchase entities controlled by Kevin McCabe and his family hold 209,342,238 ordinary shares in the Company representing
75.17% of the issued share capital.
