The Company was advised on 19 March 2002 that B L Steer and J W Moore have been
granted 10,000 shares under the rules of the Gyrus Share Matching Scheme.


B L Steer and J W Moore have today sold 4,000 shares each at 283p to meet tax
liabilities, their total resultant holdings following this notification are
483,066 (0.58%) and 171,115 (0.21%) of the issued ordinary share capital of the
Company, respectively.
