                          Placing of New Ordinary Shares


Galleon Holdings plc ("Galleon") on Friday 23rd January 2004 agreed to place
with three investors a total of 33,000,000 new ordinary shares of 1 penny each
at par, under the directors' existing share allotment powers.

The documentation for this share placing now having been received by Galleon's
agents, and the issue of the placing shares having been instructed, application
will be made for the admission of 33,000,000 new ordinary shares to AIM with
effect from Wednesday 11th February 2004.
