Ferrexpo PLC (FXPO.LN), a U.K.-listed, Swiss-registered iron ore miner with operations in Ukraine, Tuesday said third-quarter pellets production from its own material was down 0.8% compared with the same period of 2008, as the company sees strengthened demand in its core markets. Pellets production from its own material in the third quarter was 2.25 million metric tons compared with 2.27 million tons in the same period of 2008.

Ferrexpo said the majority of sales are now on contract basis. .
