Application has today been made for 13,255 ordinary shares of 10p each to be
admitted to the Daily Official List of the London Stock Exchange.  These
shares arose as a result of the exercise of 13,255 options to subscribe for
ordinary shares at 33p each, by members of the Company's Executive Share
Scheme.  Following the exercise of these options the Company's issued ordinary
share capital will be 11,304,676.  It is expected that admission to listing
will become effective and that dealings in the new ordinary shares of 10p of
the Company will commence on Thursday 3rd February 2000.

Roger Barnett, Managing Director, exercised 5,035 options and, retaining all
these shares, accordingly now holds 23,993 ordinary shares, being 0.212 per
cent. of the issued ordinary share capital.  Andrew Whiteley, Executive
Director, exercised 2,900 options and, retaining all these shares, accordingly
now holds 2,900 ordinary shares, being 0.025 per cent. of the issued ordinary
share capital.
