New users of Odyssey.Net applications

Avia (AIM: AVIA), the AIM-listed developer and provider of clinical decision support systems, is pleased to announce that through its wholly owned subsidiary Plain Healthcare, it now has four clients with access to the latest version of Odyssey TeleAssess and PatientAssess hosted on the Company's NHS facing server.

Existing clients Southern Area Urgent Care and Nottingham City PCT have both been upgraded to the latest version of full Odyssey TeleAssess.Net. New GP practice customers Fakenham and Millway now have access to Odyssey PatientAssess .Net application embedded with the EMIS LV clinical practice system. These migrations and new sales on the Odyssey.Net platform in the UK build on Avia's previously announced sales of Odyssey TeleAssess in the USA and in Australia.

Plain Healthcare is working with Askey Data Services Limited, the authorised third party connector for N3, the national broadband network for the NHS, to increase its capacity for delivering Odyssey to GPs and consortia over the coming months. The ability of Odyssey PatientAssess to facilitate day time triage in the GP practice is helping to generate increasing interest in the Odyssey product range.

These developments reflect the increasing use of .Net applications in live situations, both with long standing customers moving over to the .Net product and with new clients coming on board due to the ease of use and delivery of the new system.
