         Odyssey Products Purchased by New Local Health Board in Wales 
 
AIM-listed Avia Health Informatics plc (AIM: AVIA) ("Avia" or "the Company"), 
the developer and provider of clinical decision support systems worldwide, 
announces that its subsidiary, The Plain Software Company Limited, has been 
awarded a contract from The Aneurin Bevan Local Health Board ("Aneurin Bevan 
LHB") to provide both the `Odyssey TeleAssess' and `Odyssey Reception' decision 
support tools to their service. This is the first contract win since the 
Company's shares were admitted to trading on AIM on 16 November 2009. 
 
Odyssey Reception will be used by receptionists in their clinics. When taking 
out of hours GP calls, it will give them the ability to effectively and 
consistently prioritise calls and patients attending clinics. It also helps 
non-clinicians to identify potential emergencies in just a few seconds. 
 
Most patients will then be passed to either a nurse or another healthcare 
professional for telephone consultation, supported by Odyssey TeleAssess. 
 
Odyssey TeleAssess will be the first product to be introduced, aiming to ensure 
rapid, safe assessments and advice, with all applications embedded into 
existing patient administration software, connectivity into a familiar 
environment for users is ensured. 
 
The Aneurin Bevan LHB was recently awarded the contract for the provision of 
Out of Hours care for Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil. The service covers 
approximately 700,000 patients in South Wales.

Avia Health Informatics graduated to AIM from Plus on November 16th having 
completed the reverse takeover of Plain Healthcare. It is Avia's intention to 
grow the business both organically and by acquisition. 
 
 
The Company produces a range of clinical decision support products under the 
Odyssey brand. 
 
  * Odyssey TeleAssess which supports telephone triage by nurses and the 
    provision of up-to-date self-care advice; is also used to manage demand for 
    clinical services in an efficient manner. Used by GP out of hours services, 
    GP surgeries in-hours, ambulance trusts and the MoD. 
 
  * Odyssey FaceToFace is used by nurse-led clinics such as NHS Walk-in

  * Odyssey Reception is utilised by non-clinical staff to prioritise patient 
    queues and identify potential emergencies quickly and safely. It may be 
    used by receptionists throughout primary care services. 
 
  * Odyssey Gold a state-of-the-art combination product comprising some or all 
    Odyssey variants: Reception, TeleAssess and FaceToFace merged into one, 
    seamless solution. 
 
  * Odyssey eCover allows health managers to commission health workers to work 
    from home to provide emergency cover when needed. Securely held on N3 
    servers, its sophisticated security system allows access via domestic 
    broadband. 
 
  * Odyssey FirstAssess is being developed specifically for use in the Prison 
    service to help improve healthcare in this challenging environment. 
 
Odyssey products interact with leading GP patient administration systems and
