                          Acquisition of Business in Romania


Alpha Airports Group Plc ("Alpha") is pleased to announce that it has today
acquired a small flight and retail catering business in Romania for a cash
consideration of Euro5.0m (#3.4m).

The Romanian business, carried on by Abela Rocas SA, is based at Henri Coanda
International Airport, Bucharest and provides both flight catering to a number
of airlines and retail catering at the airport. We have acquired 64.18% of the
share capital of Abela Rocas. There are no pre-emption rights or options over
the remaining shares, which are held by Tarom S.A., the Romanian state airline
and major customer, and the Romanian Airport Authority, Compania Nationala
Aeroportul International Henri Coanda.

The turnover and profit before taxation of the business for the year ended 31
December 2004 was Romanian Lei 281.3 billion (#5.3m) and Romanian Lei 80.7
billion (#1.5m) respectively. The net assets to be acquired are Romanian Lei 29
billion (#0.5m).

As highlighted in the recent results statement, Alpha is working on a
significant number of opportunities to build and grow the business both
organically and by acquisition. The acquisition of this business fits firmly
into the strategic European development plans of the Group and follows on from
our acquisition of 60% of the share capital of Istanbul Duty Free in November
2004.

Commenting on the acquisition, Kevin Abbott, Chief Executive, said:

business in Romania is well run and has two local customers as partners. Eastern
Europe is a new market for Alpha and we anticipate growth and further
development opportunities as Romania progresses towards EU membership in the
next few years. "
