Saab Offers 3-years of Free OnStar, XM Radio Service on 9-7X SUV
DETROIT, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Saab is making its all-new 9-7X
premium midsize SUV more attractive ... even before it goes on sale
this spring. By registering before March 31, customers who purchase
or lease a 2005 9-7X will get three years of free OnStar "Safe
& Sound" and XM Satellite Radio service, a $700.00 value. In
addition, current Saab drivers whose lease expires in February,
March or April will qualify for a lease extension of up to six
months to enable them to take delivery of a new 2005 9-7X. Saab
will target potential customers with a direct mail campaign by the
end of February 2005. This mailing will direct prospects to the
Saab 9-7X website, http://www.saab97xsuv.com/. Once customers have
registered at this website, they will automatically receive the
additional free services once they take delivery of their 2005 Saab
9-7X. Beginning Feb. 14, interested customers can also go directly
to the website even if they did not receive the mailing from Saab.
The 9-7X is just one part of the most aggressive product
development offensive in Saab's 57-year history. The vehicle comes
standard with all-wheel drive, leather-appointed heated front
seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, side-curtain airbags, OnStar, XM
Satellite Radio and a moonroof or a rear-DVD entertainment system.
Saab owners will feel at home in the 9-7X, which features the
cockpit inspired instrument panel, signature sliding-plate vents,
the 9-5 in-dash cupholder and center console-mounted ignition. Two
9-7X models will be available: the Linear, with a 275 hp in-line
6-cylinder and the Arc model with a 300 hp V8. The Arc will also
feature xenon headlamps, headlamp washers and adjustable pedals.
"We are excited about the 9-7X, Saab's first-ever SUV," said Debra
Kelly- Ennis, President and COO of Saab Cars USA. "It gives us an
important addition to our product portfolio and allows Saab to take
advantage of the continued growth in the premium SUV segment. On
top of that, the 9-7X will provide customers with outstanding value
for money." The 9-7X has more headroom and legroom, towing
capability and torque than any comparably equipped Volvo XC90, its
principal competitor. Final pricing for the Saab 9-7X will be
announced later in February and is expected to be approximately
$7,000.00 less than a comparably equipped XC90 V8. DATASOURCE: Saab
