Bongiovi Acoustics and MWW Automotive Introduce the Bongiovi Acoustics Car Audio System Created by the Award-Winning Recording E
05 November 2008 - 5:22PM
Marketwired
MWW Automotive Group (OTCBB: MWWC), a global design, engineering,
and manufacturing firm serving some of the world's leading
automotive manufacturers, and Bongiovi Acoustics are holding a
press conference during which the revolutionary Bongiovi Acoustics
car audio system, "The Digital Power Station" (DPS), will be
introduced to the SEMA audience at this year's SEMA show in Las
Vegas at MWW's Booth #11309 in the North Hall on Thursday, November
6, starting at 4:40 pm.
The Bongiovi Acoustics and MWW team will be demonstrating how
the DPS system can recreate sound as it was intended to be heard
when it was initially recorded in the studio. The DPS will be
demonstrated installed in a Toyota Corolla for the ultimate live
experience.
Automobiles are typically equipped with inexpensive speakers
placed in less-than-optimum positions within the vehicle. The
environment of a car is not conducive to studio quality sound due
to the "room size" and the acoustically hostile nature of the
passenger compartment.
The DPS was created by the award-winning record engineer and
producer Tony Bongiovi to overcome these obstacles. The DPS
processor aggressively remixes the source material for playback in
a specific environment taking into account all of the audio
system's inefficiencies including speaker design and the vehicle's
acoustic characteristics, thus maximizing the frequencies that the
system can reproduce. This boost of efficiency allows a
manufacturer to use inexpensive drivers with limited frequency
response with fewer speakers to achieve a result only found in more
expensive systems. The system can even be adjusted further,
utilizing the same digital engine but with different settings for
specific audio sources or genres to maximize the consumer's overall
experience.
The Bongiovi team will use its vast background in the recording
industry to explain what happens during a recording session, and
why recordings are made the way they are. They will provide several
audio examples of recordings from various artists, studios, and
recording techniques.
The team will also discuss motion picture sound, explaining the
techniques of sound mixing, and the acoustical problems of playing
back movies in the home or in the car. They will show how this new
digital technology overcomes these problems to provide an optimal
movie viewing and listening experience.
