EDP Renovaveis SA said Wednesday that net profit and revenue fell in the first nine months of the year, citing the negative impact of low wind resources and lower average selling prices, mostly in Spain and the U.S.

The Portuguese renewable-energy company said net profit slipped to 148.2 million euros ($171.6 million) from EUR318.8 million for the same period a year earlier.

Earnings before interest and taxes fell to EUR472.2 million from EUR643.4 million, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization fell to EUR917.3 million from EUR1.07 billion.

Revenue fell to EUR1.19 billion from EUR1.26 billion.
