                 NWF GROUP ANNOUNCES CHIEF EXECUTIVE SUCCESSOR

NWF Group plc, the diversified sales and distribution business, announces that
Graham Scott will retire as Chief Executive, at his normal retirement age of 60,
in December 2004.   He has held the position since October 1995.

Mike Guest will be appointed Chief Executive of the Group with effect from 1
December 2004. Mike, aged 46, has been with NWF Group for 19 years and on the
Board for the last 10 years.  He has been Managing Director of Boughey
Distribution Ltd since 1989, and before that, Boughey's Finance Director.

Further details of Mike's own succession within Boughey Distribution will be
announced in due course.

Graham Scott commented "The Board has decided to make an early announcement of
the new Chief Executive in order to ensure a smooth handover and allow time for
any further appointments required. I am delighted to welcome Mike as my
successor next year. He has distinguished himself by his extensive leadership of
Boughey and his membership of the Group Board means that the continuity of NWF's
successful strategy will be assured".

Mike Guest said "I am very much looking forward to the increased challenge of
managing the Group and I am confident that we will continue the current growth
of the four businesses".
