Febreze and Family Dollar Respond to Top Military Request with
Significant Product Donation to Troops CINCINNATI, Oct. 8
/PRNewswire/ -- Febreze, the leading line of home freshening
products and Family Dollar, one of the fastest growing discount
retail chains in the United States, are responding to a top
military product donation request by sending Febreze To Go Fabric
Refresher to 150,000 troops stationed abroad. From now through
Veteran's Day, Febreze and Family Dollar will donate one bottle of
Febreze To Go for every Febreze item purchased at Family Dollar
stores nationwide, up to 150,000 bottles. Febreze and Family Dollar
committed to the donation in response to a single request from a
military family to Family Dollar employee and Marine veteran Paul
Kaschak. Kaschak received a short list of requests from the mother
of a service member, including Febreze among other necessities such
as socks, snacks and sports magazines. The Febreze To Go donation
will serve not only to freshen and eliminate odors on military gear
and uniforms, but also to improve the conditions of troops' daily
lives in the barracks with the product's all-in-one freshness
benefit to eliminate odors on fabrics and in the air. "Febreze is
excited to embark on a first-of-its-kind partnership with Family
Dollar to bring our troops a refreshing piece of home," said Scott
Lazarczyk, North American marketing director for Febreze. "Febreze
has traditionally been a popular request among military personnel
who have a strong need for the product's odor-eliminating and
freshening capabilities." All Febreze packages will be coordinated
through a first-time partnership with Operation Gratitude, a
non-profit, all-volunteer company that addresses individual care
packages to service members deployed overseas. "Operation Gratitude
appreciates the generous support that Febreze and Family Dollar are
showing our troops abroad," said Carolyn Blashek, president and
founder of Operation Gratitude. "Febreze is one of the most
requested items Operation Gratitude receives from our troops abroad
and we are thrilled when donations respond to the military's direct
needs." The product donation will be supported by two months of
in-store merchandising at every Family Dollar store nationwide.
Promotional elements include product displays, signage and Febreze
inclusion in monthly circulars distributed to Family Dollar
customers, including discount offers ranging from $1.50 - $5.00 off
Febreze products. Febreze To Go Fabric Refresher provides
surrounding freshness while eliminating odor in the air and on
fabrics. Febreze To Go uses the same revolutionary formula to
eliminate odors - not cover them up with perfumes - as the regular
size Febreze Fabric Refresher. Febreze To Go comes in a 2.8 ounce
travel-size bottle, delivering an all-in-one freshness benefit
while leaving a light, fresh scent. About Procter & Gamble
