KALAMAZOO, Mich., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Manatron, Inc.
(NASDAQ:MANA) the nation's leading provider of integrated property
tax solutions for state and local governments announced that it has
received a contract totaling approximately $500,000 from the City
of Roanoke, Virginia for its GRM Property Tax solution, Manatron
Tax. The contract includes software, ongoing software maintenance
and support, and related professional services for both the City
Commissioner of Revenue and Treasurer's Offices. In addition, the
contract requires integration with the City Assessor's Office, a
current Manatron CAMA client. This marks the second GRM tax client
in Virginia. The City of Virginia Beach was the first. The City of
Roanoke is located in Central Virginia and has a population
estimated at 100,000. The City Commissioner of Revenue and
Treasurer's Office will be using Manatron Tax to maintain taxable
owner records for real estate parcels and to collect real estate,
personal property, special assessments, motor vehicle and other
miscellaneous taxes for the city. "Roanoke has been a very
satisfied customer of Manatron for many years," stated Kathy D.
Cox, Assistant Director of Technology for the City of Roanoke. "We
have been using Manatron's ProVal software as our Real Estate CAMA
(Computer Automated Mass Appraisal) system. By acquiring Manatron's
GRM Property Tax Solution, we are covering the entire tax revenue
cycle from assessment to collections using one integrated product.
Our goal was to find a solution that made it easier to manage large
volumes of interrelated tax data, improve the efficiency of our
business processes, and enhance services for our citizens. We are
very excited to have selected Manatron as our vendor and are
confident that they will be with us every step of the way as we
achieve this goal. "Virginia is a target market for our GRM suite
of software given our recent contract with the City of Virginia
Beach and the fact that we have over 30 jurisdictions in that state
using our CAMA software," said Paul Sylvester, Manatron's Chief
Executive Officer. "We have enjoyed our long-standing relationship
with the Assessor's Office in the City of Roanoke and look forward
to serving the Commissioner of Revenue and the Treasurer's Office."
"We have made significant investments in our software, services and
people these last couple of years as we have prepared to take the
City of Virginia Beach live on our GRM suite of software," said
Bill McKinzie, Manatron's President and Chief Operating Officer. "I
am pleased that we will be able to leverage these investments on
our new contract with the City of Roanoke and am excited about the
opportunity to integrate our GRM Tax software in many of our other
Virginia CAMA accounts following the successful completion of this
contract." About Manatron, Inc.: Manatron is focused on providing
