On September 2, 2010, Verizon Communications Inc. (Verizon) issued a news 
release announcing the declaration of a quarterly dividend of 48.75 cents per 
outstanding share, an increase of 1.25 cents per share, or 2.6 percent, from the 
previous quarter. On an annual basis, this increases Verizon's dividend 5 cents 
per share, from $1.90 to $1.95 per share.
