TPG ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS 2000

Today, at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in Amsterdam, Mr. Ad
Scheepbouwer, Chairman and CEO of the Board of Management of TNT Post Group N.V.
(TPG) , will reconfirm TPG's outlook statement for the year 2000. The forecast
was originally announced at the annual results presentation on 27 March.

For TPG's Mail division the changeover to automated sorting and new sorting
centres is paying off with significant improvements in operational service
quality in Mail. Next day delivery of mail now operates at the 1997 level of
95.2%, and the company expects to record its best ever performance by November
of this year.

The Express division's much improved performance in the second half of 1999
continued in the first four months of 2000.

During the same period Logistics further strengthened its position in targeted
industries, as the Volkswagen UK and Compaq Europe contracts have indicated, and
by finalising the integration of acquired companies.

TPG therefore reconfirms its outlook statement for the year 2000. Assuming
stable exchange rates, the TPG Board of Management expects to achieve a net
income growth in the year 2000 at least in line with the level of growth of 1999
(12.6%).

TPG with its two brands TNT and Royal PTT Post, is a global provider of mail,
express and logistics services. It employs more than 115,000 people in 60
countries and services over 200 countries. The company had sales of EUR 8.5
billion in 1999. TPG is publicly listed on the Stock Exchanges of Amsterdam, New
York, London and Frankfurt.
