At a meeting of the board of directors on Friday an assessment was made of the
current trading and prospects of portfolio companies and of the valuations of
the Company's investment holdings as at 30th September 2007. Following that
meeting the directors announce that in their opinion there has been a material
diminution in the value of the Company's investment holdings attributable to a
significant write down in the value of one investment with a small net uplift in
the remaining portfolio. The Company continues to make an operating loss before
taking into account any unrealised or realised gains and (losses) on
investments. In furtherance of the board's strategy the Company is in
negotiations to realise a number of the investments in the portfolio. The
Company will update the market further as part of its interim results which will
be released prior to 31 December 2007.
