Appointment of New Chief Executive
Hyder Consulting, the international advisory and design consultancy, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ivor Catto as its new Chief
Executive, effective 1 December 2008, succeeding Tim Wade who will be deferring his retirement until Mr Catto's arrival.
Mr Catto is presently Group Managing Director of the Design & Engineering Solutions segment of W S Atkins plc, which now has 5,000 staff
covering the architecture and design, water, nuclear, defence, oil & gas, aerospace and environment sectors. It has operations in the UK,
India, USA and Europe and several major projects in Africa. Under his leadership the business has grown significantly over the past three
years and had revenues of �373.6m in the financial year to 31 March 2008.
Ivor Catto (41), is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a graduate of Harvard Business
School's Advanced Management Program.
Announcing the appointment, the Company's Chairman, Sir Alan Thomas said: "Hyder has grown very successfully over the last nine years
under Tim's leadership and we are pleased to have appointed someone of Ivor's calibre to take the Company through the next phase of its
development."
No other information is required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 R of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services Authority
in relation to Mr Catto's appointment to the Board of the Company.
