                 Notice of announcement of Preliminary Results


Gyrus Group PLC ("Gyrus" or the "Company") announces that it is hosting a
two-hour teach-in for City analysts today.  This visit will include a
presentation on the Gyrus technology and products as well as an update on
progress with implementation of its growth strategy in niche surgical
procedures, including the recently announced Somnoplasty Tonsillectomy procedure
and PK II cosmetic procedure trials.

As the Group is in close period, no comment will be made on current trading.

Gyrus will announce preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2001 on
Tuesday 26 February 2002.
