                          Gyrus Group plc ("Gyrus")

             Postponement of interim results to 1 October, 2001.



A number of the Gyrus Board are in the US and as a result of the current
transatlantic travel restrictions imposed, the Board of Gyrus will be unable
to present their interim results for the 6 months ended 30 June, 2001 on
Monday, 17 September.

The presentation of their results has now been rescheduled and will take place
on 1 October, 2001.
