    Sad Demise of Mr Rajendra S Lodha, Non-Executive Director, GeneMedix plc

    GeneMedix plc (the "Company"), part of the Reliance Life Sciences Group , is deeply saddened to inform shareholders of the sudden death
of Mr Rajendra S Lodha, a Non-Executive Director, GeneMedix plc on October 3, 2008. 

    Mr Lodha was Chairman of the Audit committee and was also a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committees at GeneMedix plc. 

    Mr Lodha, had served for 40 years (1964-2004) as a Senior Partner of M/s. Lodha & Co., a firm of chartered accountants with offices in
New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Jaipur in India. He was the President of Federation of Indian Chambers of
Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and the Apex Chamber of India during its Platinum Jubilee Year in 2002. 

    Dr. R A Mashelkar, Non Executive Chairman GeneMedix plc said, "Since joining the Board as an Independent Director, he has made an
invaluable contribution towards the development of the Company's business and has helped shape its future direction. We will miss Rajendra -
he was a wonderful human being and a great visionary."

    The Company is currently looking for a suitable candidate to replace Mr Lodha as a Non-Executive Director.
