Please be advised that the number of ordinary shares in Urbium plc in which
Nigel Wray is deemed to be interested is 682,446.  All other details remain
unchanged, and the full amended text appears below:



Urbium plc (the "Company") announces that Nigel Wray, a non-executive director
of the Company, notified the Company on Thursday 17 July 2003 that he acquired
on that date 5,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 431 pence per
share and 10,000 shares at a price of 429.67 pence per share. Mr Wray is now
deemed to be interested in 682,446 ordinary shares in the Company.
