Phillips 66 (PSX) said it is starting one month of maintenance work Thursday on a gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracking unit at its refinery in Borger, Texas.

"Unit 29 FCCU is being shut down for maintenance," the refinery said in a statement to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. "The unit will later be started up following the maintenance."

It said the maintenance could last until May 11, and said above-normal emissions of carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and other gases could occur during that time.

The 146,000-barrel-a-day Borger refinery is located in the Texas panhandle, northeast of Amarillo.
