John A. (Jack) Leide, USA, (Ret) to its exclusive Advisory
Board.

In his last military position before retiring as an Army Major
General on 1 August 1995, Major
General Leide was Director, National Military Intelligence
Collection Center (NMICC); Director, Central MASINT Office (CMO);
Director, Defense HUMINT Service (DHS), within the Defense
Intelligence Agency.
Major General Leide's career highlights include: serving four
combat tours, three as an airborne company commander and the fourth
as Gen Schwarzkopfs Director of Intelligence, J-2 for the Gulf War;
Battalion Commander, US Army Special Forces; G-2, 82' Airborne
Division; Military Intelligence Group Commander; Graduate, Chinese
Army Command & General Staff College; Defense and Army Attache
to China (including during the
Tian An Men incident); Director, NMICC; Director, CMO; Director,
Defense HUMINT Service.
Major General Leide was inducted into the United States Defense
Attache Hall of Fame and has been awarded the Knowlton Medal by the
US Army Military Intelligence Corps Association. Additionally, he
was inducted into the United States Military Intelligence Hall of
Fame, and received the Torch Bearers Award by DIA. He was the
President of the National Military Intelligence Association
1995-1999 and a Distinguished Speaker at the Joint Military Intelligence College. Major General
Leide has been made an Honorary Citizen of Bedonia, Parma,
Italy and awarded the Christopher
Columbus Outstanding Italian-American Military Service Award by the
Italian Heritage Society.
Upon Retirement from the Army after 33 years, Jack was appointed
President of Global Information Technologies strategic business
unit within Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and served in that
position until he joined Avenue Technologies, a defense and
security information superiority company as Executive Vice
President. General Leide also assumed the position of President of
Apennine Associates Ltd, an international defense and security
company. Jack also served a Senior Executive Advisor to General
Dynamics Land Systems. He presently serves as a senior consultant
to number of national and international intelligence and security
companies. He is presently a Board Member for INFOASSURE Inc and
Wave Technologies, and is the Managing Director of Litmus LLC.
A native of Auburn, New York,
he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University, and a Juris Doctor degree
from Syracuse University College of
Law. (He was inducted into the Phi Alpha Delta legal honorary
society). He served as fellow at the Harvard
University John Fitzgerald Kennedy School of Government.
