--Repsol has hired investment bank JPMorgan Chase & Co. to spin off its renewables unit, El Confidencial reports.

--The Spanish energy company is considering selling or listing the division on the stock market as soon as June, and the unit could be valued at up to 4 billion euros ($4.82 billion), according to the newspaper.

--Repsol declined to comment when contacted by Dow Jones.
