Cyber Digital, Inc. (OTC BB: CYBD), a leading designer and software developer of advanced digital voice and broadband data switches, indicated today the value of its CDCO system could be $125 million. The CDCO system is ideally suited for the creation of new 'last mile' local voice and broadband data switching networks as it offers both packet and circuit switching capabilities in one integrated system. CDCO system is primarily designed for use by competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs), who are forced to bypass the Bells' local switching networks pursuant to the recent FCC ruling. CDCO is a carrier-grade integrated voice and data switching system delivering TDM Class 4/5, PRI, packet switching and VoIP. CDCO offers an easy migration from the traditional circuit switched network to the next generation packet switched network based on IP (Internet Protocol). In a report released by Investrend Research in April 25, 2002, it stated, "Santera's switch line is comparable to CYBD's Cyber Distributed Central Office (CDCO) distributed switching and networking system." One October 3, 2005, Tekelec announced that it had completed its acquisition of the minority interest in Santera for $75.6 million cash. Prior to that, it had paid $28 million cash for a certain interest; bringing the acquisition amount to $103.6 million cash.
