LONDON--Food, Home and Personal Care products Group Unilever PLC
(ULVR.LN), which houses the Knorr, Dove and Hellmann's brands among
its portfolio, said Thursday that, pursuant to the voluntary open
offer, shareholders in Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (500696.BY) have
tendered 319.99 million shares and it now owns 67.26% of the Indian
firm.
MAIN FACTS:
-Offer of 600 Indian Rupees per share values the transaction at
INR191.74 billion, or 2.49 billion Euros.
-Unilever Group previously held 52.48% in Hindustan
Unilever.
-Open offer was first announced on April 30 and is being managed
by HSBC Securities and Capital Markets (India) Private Ltd.
-Unilever PLC shares closed in London Wednesday at 2765 pence
valuing the company at 35.49 billion pounds.
